Heather is the Club Director of Team Momentum and one of the area’s top coaches and athletic trainers. Entering her 16th year coaching club and her 15th year with PlyoCity, she has trained thousands of athletes. Many of the athletes she trained have achieved significant successes in their sport, including earning awards in high school and awards and scholarships at the collegiate level.
Most recently, in 2016 her 13s won the Northern Lights Qualifier and earned a bid to play in the American Division at Nationals.
Heather is an accomplished athlete in her own right. As captain all four years at Tennessee Martin she lead the team won two conference titles in the OVC. Heather attended Westminster Christian Academy and was an All-State swimmer and volleyball player.
As varsity coach for Westminster Christian Academy, Heather led her 2007 team to the finals of the Missouri State High School Championship and won a state championship in 2012.
Her responsibilities as General Manager of PlyoCity include overseeing a staff of coaches and trainers to provide speed and agility training for many elite teams and players in St. Louis and around the country. Heather has personally trained Saint Louis University’s conference championship women’s volleyball team, University of Alabama’s women’s volleyball team and other top club and high school teams in the St. Louis area.

Joe is originally from Charleston, South Carolina. His first experiences with coaching started in basketball, baseball and soccer at the YMCA, where he was the assistant athletic director. He had two championship appearances through baseball and basketball.
This will be Joe’s 7th year with Team Momentum. He has coached the 11s, 13s, 14s and 17s age divisions. His Momentum teams have made two national appearances, including a 3rd place finish at nationals. In 2016, his 13s finished 13th at the national division in Indianapolis and won the Northern Lights Qualifier. That qualifier earned his 13s a bid to play in the American Division at Nationals.
Joe has extensive personal training experience, including at Gold’s Gym and PlyoCity. He is an artist full time, certified EMT and Paramedic. In his spare time, he enjoys riding motorcycles, lifting weights, playing golf and hang with his French bulldogs.

Bailey, from Saint Louis, MO, played four years at Westminster Christian Academy, playing varsity volleyball her junior and senior year under Coach Heather (Kea) Cumbee. In 2012, she helped her team win a district and state title. Bailey played club volleyball for three years around the Saint Louis area, playing one of those years with Team Momentum as a setter and right-side hitter.
Bailey attended Fontbonne University for her undergrad and was a two-sport athlete in volleyball and tennis. She played as a right-side hitter and setter throughout her college career. She was a member of the SLIAC Academic All-Conference Team each year.
This is Bailey’s 7th year coaching at the club level. She has coached various volleyball camps in the area for the past few years, including PlyoCity’s premier volleyball training program. She is currently a Speech-Language Pathologist in the Fort Zumwalt School District.

Stephen, a Chicago native, played club volleyball at Energy VBC in Niles, Illinois from the Summer of 2012 to the Spring of 2014. In his time with Energy, he played Outside Hitter. The team attended 3 Junior National Championships in the Open Division finishing top 20 each year. Stephen attended Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, Illinois, where he was a 4-year varsity player totaling 2 All-Conference selections, the Conference Player of the Year for the ESCC, and was tabbed as one of Illinois’ Top 50 players to watch.
Stephen played collegiate volleyball at Fontbonne University where he was a 4-year starter and floor captain. Stephen holds the all-time record for Aces and Attacks for a player at Fontbonne University and was ranked in the nation as a leader in Aces and Aces per set. Stephen was honored as both a Google Cloud COSIDA Academic All-District and Academic All-American player for his senior year. In addition, Stephen was a tri-sport athlete at Fontbonne University playing Tennis and Track and Field. He was asked to play volleyball overseas during his time at Fontbonne for a D3/NAIA USA Representative team (USA Athletes International Volleyball and Beyond Sports tours).
Stephen is certified as an independent personal trainer through NASM. Currently, he works as a second grade teacher at Covenant Christian School in Town and Country, Missouri. This is Stephen’s 3rd year coaching with Momentum.
